Mooney's Rearing Pond

Mooney's Pond has evolved over the years into a semi-natural Atlantic salmon rearing facility that provides smolt for the Morell River and other Island rivers. During the year 60,000 to 70,000 .salmon are raised and released at the site.

We love hiking the trail at Mooney's Pond in the Fall. Here are some pictures from this years (2008) hiking.
